It could also be interference on your wireless from another router next door or two doors down, if they use the same wireless channel as you, if will cause BIG problems. With BT my connection speed drops from 8mbps to around 3mbps if I switch on my mediaplayer next to my home hub. The list is endless!!īT's twin copper wire system is decades old and loves to pickup radio inference which causes big issues with ADSL. Which can be affected by all sorts of things like having the router or the phone cable too close to electronic goods like TVs, VCRs, DVD players etc, fridge, microwave, power supplies or phone chargers. It could be poor SN ratio on the phone line. I thought it was my pc, but maybe a problem with BT? I dont normally have a problem with the wireless connection. I'm with BT as well, and my internet has been going up and down all evening.
